NEWS RELEASE

In February, Canadian Tire Corporation announced an additional $12 million commitment to Jumpstart’s Sport Relief Fund to help sport and recreation organizations build back sport and play in Canada.

Jumpstart conducted a State of Sport study via Ipsos which revealed the pandemic has not only impacted current access to sport and play but has real long-term effects as well. Collingwood United Soccer Club and the communities it serves have experienced the impact of the pandemic first-hand.

CUSC recently received confirmation that it is amongst nearly 300 sport and recreation organizations nationally to be provided with grant support through Jumpstart’s Sport Relief Fund. We are beyond grateful to receive this news and know the positive impact it will have on sport and recreation organizations, and ultimately, on kids across the country.

With Jumpstart’s support, we’ll be able to continue to operate, safely return to play following all necessary and mandated COVID protocols and continue to move forward post-COVID. Collingwood United Soccer Club sincerely thanks Canadian Tire Corporation for its highly valued support.

Club members are also reminded of CUSC’s Annual General Meeting - online Wednesday, April 21 at 7 p.m. Membership includes all registered players, coaches, managers, and referees as well as parents, who participated in club activities during the 2019 outdoor season or are registered for the 2021 outdoor season.

Further information including AGM agenda and the online access link to the meeting will be available as we get closer to the date of the meeting on the club website at www.collingwoodusc.ca.
