Clippers swim to 62 medals at weekend meet

Collingwood Clippers achieved 92 personal best times at a meet in Owen Sound last weekend

Collingwood’s competitive swim club sent 29 swimmers to a competition last weekend and came home with 62 medals.

Nine clubs from the Huronia Region competed at the 2020 Huronia Short Course Regionals in Owen Sound, Ontario Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, 2020.

The Collingwood Clippers sent 29 swimmers and finished fourh in overall club points. The Clippers finished 178 swims achieving 22 gold, 18 silver, and 22 bronze medals. In addition to the hardware, Clippers achieved 92 personal best times taking off 277.47 seconds. There were 13 new club records set, one new festival qualifier and two swimmers with 100 per cent best times.
