Thursday is the 51st anniversary of Earth Day.
With an international theme of "Restore our Earth," it is an appropriate time to step back and reflect on our home and how we can help make it healthy, safe and sustainable.
Collingwood Climate Action Team invites you to our Earth Day Celebration April 22 at 7 p.m. It is open and free to all who wish to join us.
With our theme of "Let’s. Get. Dirty." prepare for a ground-level experience.
- Collingwood’s Poet Laureate, Claudia Ferraro will open the event with a poem written specifically for this day.
- Our guest speaker, Gillian Flies from New Farm and a member of Farmers for Climate Solutions will share insights into where agriculture and climate action intersect.
- Followed by three active sessions on backyard gardening, pollination in Collingwood, and composting.
