Collingwood Collegiate Institute (CCI) students can be dramatic when they need to, which has earned them awards at this year's Sears Drama Festival.

A group of students performing the play "who are we, who we are," on March 2 at Bear Creek Secondary School won two group awards and three individual awards at the festival, including the district award of excellence.

The play is about a teenage boy coming to terms with his failing mental health in the wake of his mother's cancer diagnosis. He gets help from his close friends and learns the value of asking for and receiving help.

Now the group is bringing their award-winning performance home for two performances on March 30 at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at CCI in room 151.

Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
