The Canadian Ski Cross team stopped by a local gym for a workout while they were in town for the Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup taking place at Blue Mountain today.

Olympic gold medalist, and Canadian Brady Leman brought his medal from Pyeongchang to show the staff at The Centre, a squash, fitness, and wellness facility in Collingwood.

The team stopped by for some dryland training – including squash.

“Playing squash is an excellent form of dry land training,” said Leman. “The constant stop-start and lunging motion, together with the need to anticipate and react quickly in all directions, translates very well to action on the slopes. Then there’s the cardio - probably one of the best cardio workouts you can get in 40 minutes. Best of all you’re competing....we don’t like to lose!”

Leman and the rest of the team are about to begin the final races at Blue Mountain today.
