Satisfy your sugar cravings guilt-free next week, because the Smile Cookie Campaign is back.

From Sept. 14 to 20, the full $1 from every Smile Cookie sold at local Tim Hortons will support the Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) and the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation (CGMHF).

“The Smile Cookie campaign is a much-loved fundraiser and we’re thrilled to again be a recipient of the proceeds along with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society,” says Jory Pritchard-Kerr, president and CEO of CGMHF.

“(Local Tim Hortons owner) Jan Trude and her team always go above and beyond for pets and people and this year is no exception. We are excited to get out in the community and connect with our amazing supporters,” said Sonya Reichel, executive director of the GTHS.

The GTHS and CGMHF are two of 550 Canadian charities, hospitals and community programs supported through the annual campaign, which first started in 1996. In 2019 alone, the campaign raised $9.8 million across Canada.

Participating Tim Hortons restaurants in Collingwood include locations at First Street, Hume Street and Poplar Side Road. Guests can also pre-order their Smile Cookies by completing an order form by Thursday.

“We feel proud to support our local community through the Smile Cookie campaign again this year,” said Jan Trude, Tim Hortons local restaurant owner. “Each cookie is made by our team members with care and pride in the knowledge that every $1 cookie sold is creating a positive impact.”
