Farmers' market vendors will return to Collingwood's downtown core to join local businesses for a Christmas Market on Friday nights.

The Collingwood Downtown BIA, with support from the town and tourism funding, has organized the outdoor Christmas Market to run every Friday evening, Dec. 3 through Dec. 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Downtown stores will stay open, market vendors will set up along the main street sidewalks, and there will be Christmas displays and entertainment, including local dance school students performing in live window displays.

Santa Claus will be in his sleigh by the downtown Christmas tree at the federal building.

Also, this year, there will be a Christmas Concert Series at the Simcoe Street Theatre, hosted by Collingwood Live and Original Music Initiative and the Collingwood Unity Collective.

On Dec. 3, the Sultans of String will perform their Christmas Caravan concert featuring a world music tour.

On Dec. 4, the Sultans of String are back again for a Refuge and Sanctuary concert featuring the band with global ambassadors including Indigenous voices and recent immigrants and refugees to Canada.

On Dec. 17, The Pairs will perform the Magic of Music concert, which features their acoustic harmony pop tunes.

All shows start at 8 p.m. and tickets are $25 and available for purchase online at collingwoodchristmasmarket.com
