BIA announces winning floats from Collingwood Santa Claus parade

Reliabuild took first place in Commercial, and Fleet-Wood Dance Centre in the Youth category

Fleet-Wood Dance Centre won first prize in the youth category for their float which included a fleet of dancers following behind.

It was a beautiful day for the return of the Collingwood Downtown Santa Claus Parade, and the spirit of the season was alive in Downtown Collingwood. The crowds enjoyed a magical, light-filled parade as one of the highlights of a day filled with Christmas celebrations. 

The street was packed with people after the parade, as the day finished with the official lighting of the Christmas tree and a spectacular fireworks display.

Many commercial businesses, non-profit organizations, and youth groups presented entries that celebrated the holiday season with music and lights. Thanks to all the participants and congratulations to the winners.

Category winners are:

INDUSTRIAL / COMMERCIAL – First Place – Reliabuild; Second Place – Georgian Design Centre; Third Place – Happenings Party Rentals

SERVICE CLUBS / NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS – First Place – Collingwood Agriculture Society & Great Northern Exhibition; Second Place – Blue Mountain Snow Drifters; Third Place – Georgian Triangle Anglers Association

YOUTH – First Place – Fleet-Wood Dance Centre; Second Place – Stayner Minor Lacrosse; Third Place –  Rad Adventures
