Another Simcoe-Muskoka COVID-19 case reported this morning

Since Thursday, March 12, there have been four cases in Simcoe-Muskoka, with one confirmed post-mortem in a man who died on March 11 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) in Barrie.

The province has reported another COVID-19 positive case in the Simcoe-Muskoka region. 

So far all that is known is that the individual is a male in his 60s and had recently travelled to Austria. He is self-isolating at home. The province is no longer reporting what hospital the positive cases were tested at. 

There is a third case being reported now in Grey-Bruce, again in a male in his 60s who recently travelled to India. He is also self-isolating at home.

The province has reported another 23 positive cases since last night at 5:30 p.m.

Since Thursday, March 12, there have been four cases in Simcoe-Muskoka, with one confirmed post-mortem in a man who died on March 11 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) in Barrie. 

The other three cases include one in Barrie, one in Bradford, and another was hospitalized at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, but is from Alberta. The latter two cases were reported Sunday. Another case was reported on Saturday in an indivdual who is a member of the Beaver Valley Ski Club.

The Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit said the recent death could indicate the virus is being spread through community transmission. 

The total number of cases for Ontario has now reached 205 with five reported recoveries and one death.
