Ten wrestlers will battle in a 10-man tag-team elimination match on the mats at the Collingwood Curling Club to mark the local wrestling night's tenth edition.
The milestone for Wrestling Night in Collingwood will, as always, include a pro-wrestling show and a good cause.
On one side, Canadian Heavyweight Champion Scotty The Body will lead The Bod Squad into action. His team includes “The Saturday Night Delight,” Tyler Tirva, “Salsa King” Jon Gonzalez and the team of Darius King and Jon Jon Tavious, better known as Alpha X Kaiju. The opponents will be a team led by Asher’s Army, led by Asher Benjamin. On his side, will be “Irish” Jake O’Reilly, Anthony Darko, Daddy Davis and Tornado.
Proceeds from the event will go to support the Collingwood and District Special Olympics. Over the last decade, the event has raised thousands of dollars for local Special Olympics programs, helping pay for uniforms and fees for athletes from across South Georgian Bay.
The event, presented by Reliabuild Construction, takes place at the curling club at 7 p.m. on June 3.
