CollingwoodToday welcomes letters to the editor at [email protected]. Please include your daytime phone number and address (for verification of authorship, not publication). The following letter is in response to an article that ran on CollingwoodToday.ca on May 26, titled 'One year later, admissions still halted at Sunset Manor'.

*************************

I read your article on Sunset Manor with interest as I have been after the County of Simcoe politicians for some time to do more in the social field.

I find they write good reports but are not that fast at solving issues.

Have you attempted to get a response from the county Warden?

County of Simcoe council is responsible for hiring and firing the top civil servants – the top management.

The question is, what have the councillors done in the last year about getting Sunset Manor running again?

If nothing, maybe we should vote for new councillors in the autumn elections.
