Regarding the fireworks issue: Nobody asked me. Or my husband. Or my daughter, son, daughter-in-law and son-in-law. We all pay property taxes in Collingwood.
Fireworks are very harmful to animals, both domestic and wild. Not good for the environment. A nuisance at best. Tens of thousands of dollars when we have so many unhoused and hungry on our streets? Come on. Ban them.
