Loblaw Companies Limited has confirmed an employee at the Real Canadian Superstore in Wasaga Beach tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee's last shift before testing positive was Jan. 8. They worked at the 45th Street location.

The parent company posts any employee cases from its retail locations regularly on its website. The site includes a list of all positive COVID-19 cases in its stores across Canada in the last 15 days.

"Given the important role we play in our communities, we are prepared for all possible situations, including a positive test for COVID-19 in our stores, states the Loblaw website. "In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores."

The company has mandated masks for employees and customers in many of its chains, including the Real Canadian Superstores.
