Marg Scheben-Edey, and the task force for Out of the Cold Collingwood, would like to thank Pam Hillier for her essential work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Hillier has been working double-time to organize the services vulnerable people in Collingwood need the most," said Scheben-Edey.

Hillier has overseen the switch of Collingwood Out of the Cold from a temporary, overnight shelter to a 24/7 service run out of a local hotel.

She's also the "driving force behind the plethora of community supports 211 provides, which are more important now than ever due to the pandemic," said Scheben-Edey. "She puts her staff and the myriad of community needs ahead of her own and does so tirelessly."

CollingwoodToday would like your help in recognizing local essential workers from health care workers, physicians, cashiers and delivery drivers. If you'd like to say thanks to someone you know, please send a photo, their name, their job title, and your words of thanks to erika@collingwoodtoday.ca. Please only send photos and information with permission.
