Experience world-class wines from the comfort of home on Friday, June 12 at The Finer Senses, DeafBlind Ontario Services’ first virtual wine-tasting experience.

Prior to the event, three bottles of wine will be delivered to your door for contactless delivery. Then, guests will explore their senses in a one-of-a-kind blind wine tasting, led by sommelier Tim Reed Manessy. Learn from this expert in the field and ask questions about pairings, varietals, regions and more.

“Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or you’re looking for a fun Friday night during these challenging times, you are invited to an evening that will make a difference for people with deafblindness, while enjoying a unique tasting experience in your home,” says Susan Manahan, Director of Development and Communications at DeafBlind Ontario Services.

The evening will start with a famous white wine you’ve most certainly had. Second, learn about an ancient style of winemaking that has reemerged in popularity. Lastly, sip a traditional blend that’s affordable and versatile.

“With social distancing in effect, we decided to get creative and host an event that is similar to one we had been planning for June. We want to make the most of current circumstances and bring people together for a good cause during National Deafblind Awareness Month,” said Susan.

The Finer Senses, presented by Resident Care Pharmacy, raises funds for DeafBlind Ontario Services, a not-for-profit organization that provides accessible residential and customized support services across the province, including in Georgina, Innisfil, and Barrie.

Kick up your virtual gatherings a notch with a fun, unpretentious evening of wine tasting in your jammies or sweats! Get your tickets by June 4 at 12:00pm. For more information and registration, please visit www.deafblindontario.com or call 1-855-340-3267 ext. 233.
