The following is a running list of events, businesses and organizations that have announced cancellations, closures or postponements due to COVID-19. Effective Friday, March 20, all Georgian campuses will remain closed to students until further notice. All programs move to remote delivery starting Monday, March 23. Students should check Blackboard for instructions.

Effective 4:30 p.m. on March 17, 2020, the following services and facilities in the County of Simcoe are being closed to the public until further notice: ·       

  •  Simcoe County Library Co-operative       
  •  Simcoe County Archives        
  •  Simcoe County Museum       
  •  Tourism Simcoe County Information Kiosk        
  • County Administration Centre – including the Service Simcoe Desk (phone lines and other means of contact remain open)        
  • County of Simcoe Landfills and Transfer Stations – closed to the public. (Industrial, Commercial and Institutional customers who have no alternative disposal options are encouraged to contact Service Simcoe at [email protected] or 1-800-263-3199)       
  • All county events and gatherings, including in-person Council and Committees are cancelled for March and into April

Habitat ReStore operations in Collingwood will close beginning Wednesday, March 17. It is our hope to be re-opened on April 6.

Out of an abundance of caution, Girl Guides of Canada have made the decision to suspend all in-person Girl Guide activities until Tuesday, April 14, beginning immediately. This course of action was chosen to ensure the health and well-being of girls, adult members, volunteers and the greater community.

Collingwood council and committee meetings are suspended indefinitely.

All Grey County buildings are now closed. Services available by phone and online. 

Collingwood Cinema Club has cancelled the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.

Duntroon Daycare is closed until at least April 6.

The Municipality of Grey Highlands has closed its municipal administration offices, all arenas, facilities, halls, as well as the public library and museums will be closed immediately. All scheduled council and committee meetings, programs and events are cancelled until April 14. There will be no interruption to essential services related to roads, water and wastewater.

Clerkson’s Home Store at 85 Hurontario Street in Collingwood is closed until further notice.

With consideration to the safety and health of our residents, regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Township of Clearview has decided to suspend all non-essential municipal operations, effective immediately.

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital is postponing all elective surgeries and endoscopic procedures as of March 16th and non-urgent outpatient visits beginning Tuesday, March 17.

Grey Sauble Conservation Authority has cancelled programs for March Break and closed the administration offices.

Collingwood town hall is closed to the public, phone and online service still available.

Bingo at the Collingwood Legion is cancelled, and the March 20 fish fry is postponed to June 5.

Simcoe Peer Support for Mental Health and Addictions is closed.

Scandinave Spa is closed until further notice.

All Wasaga Beach non-essential municipal operations are shut down, including the arena, RecPlex/YMCA, Youth Centre, Seniors' Active Living Centre, and the Library.

GoodLife Fitness and Fit4Less are closing all locations across Canada until further notice.

Alpine Ski Club is closed as of 1 p.m. March 15. 

The L.E. Shore Memorial Library in Thornbury is closed.

Craigleith Ski Club is closed as of 3:30 p.m. March 15. Lockers will be accessible for those wishing to collect their belongings.

The Historic Gayety Theatre has postponed the following events:
    •    March 15: Ashley MacIsaac
    •    March 20: Payadora Tango Ensemble
    •    March 21: Ozone Baby- LED Zeppelin Tribute
    •    April 4: Brent Butt Comedy Tour

YMCA has closed all fitness and aquatic centres in Simcoe and Muskoka.

Blue Mountain Resort is closed from March 15 until further notice. Blue Mountain Village restaurants and hotels remain open  

Collingwood Leisure Time Club is closed until April 6.

Simcoe Street Theatre has postponed all events until further notice and the theatre is closed.

Grey Highlands library has cancelled all March Break events and programs.

All non-essential visitors will be prohibited from long-term care homes.

Collingwood Curling Club is closed as of 6 p.m. March 13.

Collingwood Skating Club carnival has been postponed as a result of the arena closures. 

Collingwood Public Library will be closed from March 14 to April 6.

All Collingwood recreation facilities including the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena, Central Park Arena, Centennial Aquatic Centre, and Collingwood Museum are closed for the rest of the month

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital will no longer permit visitors to the hospital beginning March 16.

All Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation events and presentations are cancelled until July.

EPCOR Ontario operations including Collingwood will no longer be offering counter service for bill payment or other in-person customer services.

The Blue Mountains has closed Beaver Valley Community Centre, Craigleith Small Hall, and Ravenna Hall until at least Monday, March 23.

The Blue Mountains Public Library programs have been postponed until further notice, including the March Break programming.

Georgian College cancels in-person classes next week at its seven campuses. 

Springwater Township has cancelled all programming. Cancellations will remain in effect until further notice.

Simcoe County implements measures at long-term care homes, cancels museum programs.

All publicly funded schools will be closed for two weeks following March break.
