Beaver Valley Ski Club is reporting one of its members tested positive for COVID-19 and was at the club last weekend (March 7 and 8).

As of this morning (March 14), the club says it has been made aware of two member families being tested for COVID-19 with results unknown at this time.

The club is closed for the season as of this morning.

A notice to membership asks all those who were at the club on March 7 and 8 to self-monitor for any signs or symptoms.

The club reports it was made aware that a member tested positive for the COVID-19 virus on March 13 in the morning. By late morning, the club states the public health unit overseeing the case stated there was “probability” the infected member could have transmitted the virus while at the club on March 7 and 8.

The notice does not say which health unit the club is dealing with, nor where the member was tested for COVID-19.
