He would prefer a home with no dogs or children, but a friendly cat would be nice

Kakabeka

Oh hi there, my name is Kakabeka. Quite a name, I know! At about two years old and around 8lbs, I'd say I'm a pretty darn near purrfect size. And I know I don't have to tell you....just look at my photos, I'm one seriously handsome dude!

I came to the GTHS a little while ago with a whole bunch of other kitties and doggies through this thing called the Transfer Program. It was a very, very long trip to get here from way up north, so I've had quite a lot of big changes in a short period of time.

I am what the GTHS humans refer to as a 'Spirit Cat'. This means I'm a little under-socialized when it comes to people and will need a VERY specific home in order to be a happy, stress-free kitty.

I might never going to be the kind of guy who runs up to visitors for a scratch or to sit on their lap, but if given the time, I will learn to trust, love and bond with MY humans and it will be the most special connection of all!

My new family will really need to be understanding of this and please, please be patient with me. Spirit cats can sometimes take months and months before we feel comfortable in our new surroundings.

But if you're willing to give me the time I need to get to know you, I promise there is nothing more rewarding than that first time when I actually come out from hiding and approach you for some attention or come sit beside you on the couch while you're reading or watching tv.

To help a shy and nervous boy like me get settled into my new home, it would be best that I find a nice quiet and calm environment, with no kids please! Maybe none of those scary dog things either...

If you have a social, confident and cat-loving kitty in your home already, that might be really beneficial for a guy like me! Having a kitty sibling to help my confidence and show me that humans aren't so scary to live with would be nice.

That said, once we make that 'break-through' and I realize I can trust you and you mean me no harm, you'll see a whole new kitty blossom right in front of your eyes! One who loves belly rubs and scratches, and who is actually VERY playful might I add.

My adoption fee is $125 and includes my neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip.

I know I won't be the right kitty for everyone, but I do also know that my purrrfect person is out there somewhere.

Paws crossed,
xoxo Kakabeka
