October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. For the Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) pet of the week, we are showcasing four great dogs. Each has been with the GTHS for a while.

Buddy is a lovable guy who loves playing with people. The GTHS team considers him a “repeat offender” as he likes to run outside at any chance he gets. His new family should be mindful of this.

Lady is a smart dog who enjoys playing and being outdoors. She is in the GTHS underdog program as she has some behaviours her new family should be aware of — she can be protective of things like food and toys.

Owen is a big boy who can be a bit nervous at first, but once he is completely comfortable with you, he will give you lots of cuddles. He loves going for walks, but be aware he tends to pull on his leash.

Winston is a handsome, gentle giant who likes meeting new doggy friends. It’s best if you take a slow and steady approach while he settles into a new environment.

Adoption fees for these great dogs are by donation. Read more about them here: gths.ca/animals-for-adoption.
