CollingwoodToday, in partnership with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Say hello to Shaggy, the Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) pet of the week.

This handsome cat is a shy, quiet but sweet one-year-old kitty. Due to his shy nature, Shaggy is unfortunately not thriving in the shelter environment and is hoping to find his forever family as soon as possible.

The GTHS team says he is a spirit cat. That means he can be a bit unsure and nervous around new people and environments, so he needs some time to adjust. Patience and taking things slow will be best for Shaggy. Once he is comfortable with you, you will see how amazing he truly is. As he can be slow to warm up, the GTHS team recommends a home with kids 14 years old or older.
