Roxy

Hi hi hi I'm Roxy! Probably the cutest little thing you've ever seen, right? The humans here tease me about being a 'low-rider' because I've got itty-bitty short legs hehe

I'm a very sweet young girl who actually originally came to the GTHS as part of the transfer program. Yep, that's right, I'm a northern girl!

I was adopted into a wonderful home for a few years but it turns out, I need a bit of a different household environment to be the best Roxy I can be. But we'll talk more about that later... I'm just full of love and happiness and can't wait to share it all with my new future family.

Anyway, I'm closing in on three years old and am around 45lbs right now (though the GTHS humans think I need to drop a pound or two...or three...okay, maybe more than that). I am a VERY sweet, loving and affectionate girl, but have a few quirks which result in me needing a bit of a specific home environment, please.

First, I'd kindly ask to find a home where I can be your only pet. I am a little tooooo interested in small pets like kitties and can be a little choosy with my doggie friends sometimes. So, it sure would be nice to be your one and only and get allllll your love and attention to myself hehe

I am also looking for an adult-only home, pretty please. As much as I LOVE all people, I do enjoy my space when I'm catching a nap or having my dinner. I've, unfortunately, had some experiences with tiny humans who weren't respectful of this, so in order to set me up for success, only grownups for me, please!

Oh, oh and I sure hope I'll find a family who is ready and willing to take me on lots and lots of walks. Not only will this help me reach a, uhm, healthier weight but I'm a very active girl who loves to get out for lots of walks and hikes with my humans.

I can be surprisingly strong for a smaller lady, so admittedly need a little extra work on my leash manners, but I am a very smart girl too, so I know with some guidance and consistency, I'll be a dream on a leash in no time.

Overall, I'm the goodest, cutest little thing! I'm just looking for a home with experienced owners who understand doggie body language and behaviours. If that's you, then I just know we'll be an amazing team and I'll become that best bud, lifelong companion and faithful little sidekick you've been looking for!

My adoption fee is $400 and includes my spay, up to date vaccinations, de-wormer and a microchip.

Low rider wags and wiggles,
xoxo Roxy
