Adopt Me: Mufasa the handsome lion (adopted)

He is an FIV+ cat, but that doesn't mean he can't live a long and happy life with you!

CollingwoodToday, in partnership with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Mufasa

Hi humans, my name is Mufasa. I think I've been called that because I look like a big handsome lion! *grins*

I arrived at GTHS not all that along ago after being transferred here from another rescue organization. I'm a very sweet big boy who weighs in at around 15lbs.

I'd describe myself as quiet, but I'm also very affectionate if you take the time to some and sit with me. I'll happily lean into your hand as you give me the good scritchy scratches!

And at seven years old, I'm a great age for someone not looking for all the energy of a young cat. I've still got lots of life left in me to spend together, but am more mature and sophisticated now.

I think a nice quiet and calm home, with some kind and loving humans sounds just about purrrrfect to me.

I should probably also let you know that I'm an FIV+ cat. Don't worry though, that doesn't mean I can't live a long and happy life with you!

I am a special kitty but I don't require much more care than any other kitty cat. All I need is a vet visit twice a year to make sure I'm in my best shape. Just ask one of our adoption councilors to explain how awesome FIV+ cats are, we give the most love!

My adoption fee is by donation and includes my neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and a microchip.

I know it'll take a special someone to bring me home, but I sure hope that special someone finds me soon,
xoxo Mufasa
