Mika

Hi everyone, my name is Mika and I'm one stunning northern girl! I just recently arrived at GTHS about a week ago after a long trip from waaaay up north with all sorts of other lucky doggies and kitties. So, I really haven't been here all that long and am still kind of settling in.

It’s obvious that I'm a very beautiful girl! But it's also VERY important that you read my whole story, as I'm definitely a special girl, looking for a special home.

I'm a true northern dog. I'm very active, very outdoorsy and used to having to survive on my own and provide for myself and my pups (yep, I was a mom to a beautiful litter of pups not that long ago).

Although I came to GTHS from way up North, I was in this thing called a "foster home" for a short period in between. My foster mom said that I'm a total sweetheart. She and I really bonded because she was very patient with me and gave me the time I needed to warm up to her.

I'm a good girl but can be a bit skittish and shy with new people. I'm not sure if I'll ever be a really "human social" dog, but if given the chance to settle in at my own pace, I will be a completely devoted canine companion to MY humans.

Foster mom says I'm also very dog friendly. So, could be fun having a doggie sibling or at least lots of doggie friends to play with! But, I guess I should also tell you that I'm a bit of an escape artist, which is important to know, cuz I kiiiiind of was naughty one day and climbed their backyard fence and took myself on a little adventure. Oops hehe

Let's see...what else can I tell you. Oh, I am ALL legs haha I'm definitely made for running, that's for sure! So, I hope to find an active home with humans who will take me jogging, or biking maybe, oh and lots of hikes too would be fun! I'm a little on the thin side right now though, and only weigh about 45lbs, so I could definitely stand to put on some weight!

Uhm. Yep, so I think that covers the main stuff for now! Just finding a loving, patient and active family will definitely be important things that I'll be looking for. Oh, oh! and outdoorsy. I prefer to be outside over being inside. Can you blame me?

So, if you think I sound like a good fit for you, your home environment and your lifestyle, then go submit an application. The GTHS Adoption Counselors will tell you everything else you need to know about me.

My adoption fee is $400 and includes my spay, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip.

I can't wait to meet my new human and start this exciting life together!
Soft wags,
xoxo Mika
