CollingwoodToday, in partnership with the Georgian Triangle Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

"Hey there! My name is Gramma Tala. I am a sweet 10-year-old senior kitty that was brought here to GTHS to find a loving family of my very own.

I actually arrived here as a stray back in November with seven of my kitty friends! All my friends have since been adopted, but I took a little longer because one of my eyes was bothering me.

The nice humans here at GTHS worked hard to try to get me feeling better, but in the end they found out my eye was potentially cancerous, whatever that means, so they removed it so that I could finally start feeling better! And do I ever!!! I'm healing well and am SO excited to find my purrfect home.

Even though I'm a senior (and now down one eye) I am still sooo playful and silly! And just sweet as can be too!

Please come meet me, so you can see for yourself how wonderful I am. Don't miss me though, I'm in the Front Adoption Room here at GTHS!

My adoption fee is just $75 and includes my spay, up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip. T

he GTHS is open for adoptions from 12 p.m.-4 p.m., every single day of the week and they would be happy to introduce you to me! I can't wait to meet you and look forward to starting my new life with my new family soon. xoxo Gramma Tala
