Elvis

It's me, Elvis! No, not the King of Rock and Roll; Elvis your new best friend!!

I arrived at the Animal Center not too long ago when some things changed for my humans and, they could no longer provide the care they knew I needed and deserved. So, they made the tough decision but, the one they knew was best for me was to come to GTHS so the humans here could find me a wonderful new home!

The GTHS people say it's been lovely getting to know me! I'm just young still at about 3-years-old, am perfect sized (in my humble opinion) at only about 45lbs, and am just friendly as can be.

I've been loving playtime in the yard, especially with my toys! It's SO much fun when the humans throw my toys across the yard for me to chase!

I also love getting out for lots of nice long walks. The humans say that my leash manners are very good but I do also like to give new places lots of good sniffs! I will certainly be looking to find an active household, as I'm still a young, energetic, and playful boy! So, meeting my exercise requirements will be important, please. Oh, I've also been for a few car rides but let me tell you, that's pretty scary stuff! So, please don't expect a lot of road trips from this guy! That said, having a human who can help me learn that being in the car isn't so bad, sure would be helpful too.

I also hope you'll continue my obedience work. I sort of know the basics like "sit" but sure would like to continue to learn with my new human or family, so I can be the very best Elvis possible!

The humans do say that I can be a little unsure of tiny critters, so I am looking to find a home with no kitties! My previous family also said that sometimes I could be a little bit protective of things I considered to be extra special (like bones, for example). The GTHS humans haven't seen any of this behaviour since I've been at the Animal Center but it's important that my future family understand what this means and how to manage it (if it presents again), especially if there is another dog in the home.

Besides that, I'm just a happy, friendly, best bud and furever sidekick kind of dog! So, if that sounds like the kind of boy you've been looking for, I sure hope you'll book an appointment to come and meet me!

My adoption fee is $400 and includes my neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and a microchip.

I am so excited to meet you soon!!!

Wags,

xoxo Elvis
