Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family into the loving arms of Jesus at the age of 88.

Nancy, beloved wife of the late Clifford McSorley (2003). Loving mom of Susan (Richard), Dale (Peggy), Carolyn and Sandie Rose (Ray) (the late Chor Tak “Doug” Tse). Cherished grandmother of Dodie (Michael), Miranda, Cliff, Heather (Richard), Malcolm (Katy) and Linda (Jeff). Great Gramma of Zion, Sadie, Savanna, Dakota, Dale Jr., Claire, Edward, Mary, Henry, Margaret, Grayson, and Erika.

Predeceased by her parents Dorothy and Edward Higgins, and infant brother Teddy. She will be sadly missed by her cousins Shirley, Marilyn, Kathy, and Sally. Loved by many friends, especially her neighbour Beth who was so kind to her over the years.

Family meant the world to Nancy; she adored her precious grandchildren and treasured the time she spent with each of them. She was also a devoted caregiver to her mom and Cliff until their passing. She will be missed but will never be forgotten.

Nancy had a strong faith and was a lifelong member of New Life Church. In her early days she was a Bell Telephone operator, a role she held until her children were born. She also worked at Ditson’s Bakery as a young teen alongside her dad. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family as well as knitting lovely sweaters, hats, mitts, slippers and so much more. She loved going on shopping trips and dining out.  She loved celebrating every occasion with her family and special friends.

The family would like to thank the Saint Elizabeth’s nurses Tracy and Hilary for their excellent care at home, as well as Victoria, her PSW who cared for her the last couple of years.  Also, to Dr. Arthur for her many visits when Nancy was no longer able to go to see her.

Visitation will be held at Fawcett Funeral Home on Tuesday April 30, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will take place at New Life Church on Wednesday May 1, 2024, at 12 p.m. with a reception to follow.  Interment at Westmount Baptist Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to New Life Church, World Vision or Scott’s Mission in Nancy’s memory.  Friends may visit Nancy’s online Book of Memories at www.fawcettfuneralhomes.com
