Blues forward Jack Rimmer scored what proved to be the game winning goal on the powerplay at 16:07 of the second period, as the Blues built up a 3-0 lead and held on to beat the Cobourg Cougars 3-2.

In front of another packed house of 1,142 fans at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena, Jack Silverman opened the scoring at 2:54 of the second period. (Note: It was the 21st goal of the season for Silverman, matching his jersey #21).

Daniel Markevych also scored on the powerplay at 7:16 of the second period.

The Blues seventh player (fan base) showed its strong support for the team when Silverman was called for an equipment violation with 1:46 seconds left in the third. The blues held off a six on four to win 3 to 2.

Goalie Noah Pak turned aside 37 shots for the win. Pak currently holds the league shutout record with 12 on the season, which is an OJHL all-time record, the previous total being 10.

The crowd celebrated the victory, with the Blues record now being 46-6-0-1, and they cheered on the 3 stars of the game: 1st Star: Jack Rimmer, 2nd Star: Calum Chau and 3rd Star: Spencer Young. Three games remain in the regular season, and the OJHL Playoffs start in Collingwood on March 8.

Congratulations to Player of the Game: Damon Boose
