Power outage hits 20,000 customers in Collingwood area

Collingwood homes lost power shortly after noon today, an outage caused by a fault in the Hydro One system, according to EPCOR. 

The distribution company serving Collingwood said it is aware of the power outage. 

"Hydro One is experiencing a fault in its system that is affecting the area," stated EPCOR in a Tweet. 

A notice on the EPCOR website indicates there are two outages impacting 19,504 customers. 

According to EPCOR, crews are working to restore power. EPCOR has not given a timeline for how long it will take to restore power.
