Volunteer Trail Captains Needed

Collingwood Trail Captains are community volunteers who help maintain specific trails, usually in/ near the area they live.

It is a vital role in keeping Collingwood trails clean and safe by picking up litter and reporting any concerns such as washed-out sections, fallen trees, or other hazards to the trail captain coordinator, Jack Pady or the Town’s Manager of Parks, Wendy Martin.

Currently, volunteers are needed for the following trails:

  1. 11th Line to the Georgian Trail.
  2. Colberry Trails / George Christie Nature Trails (i.e., Deer, Turkey, Seatbelt, Rabbit, etc.)
  3. Hens and Chickens plus Whites Bay Trail
  4. Hamilton Drain Trail East of Hurontario to the Train Trail
  5. High Street to Hurontario, plus: Black Ash from 6th to the end at the “waterfall”
